Omaha Daily Bee Article about the Storz Triumphs against the All Nations Team and John Donaldson Was Omaha's "Daily Bee" in a hurry, and missed the end of the game? The Daily Bee's Morning article reads:
STORZ BEAT ALL-NATIONS
Welch's Triple Starts Rally in the Second Which Wins Game.
ALDERMAN WORKING STRONG
Has the Better of the Mighty Donaldson in a Pitchers' Argument at Rourke Park Sunday Afternoon.

Welch's triple followed by two walks, a double by Hatchen, and two errors, gave the Storz Triumphs four runs in the second inning of the game yesterday with the All Nations, and enabled the local boys to win by a 5 to 0 score.
Alderman, the former Western league flinger, outclassed the mighty Donaldson. He gave but four hits and these came only when they were of no account. On the other hand the brewery boys hammered the dusky twirler for five hits, most of which were garnered just when needed. Donaldson struck-out fifteen of the Storz, while Alderman fanned twelve of the Nations. Donaldson passed four men and Alderman seven.
Airtight fielding on the part of the Storz fielders kept the visitors from scoring when they became dangerous. In the sixth inning, Walla, the first man up, was hit by a pitched ball. Mendez fouled out to Creighton and Reeves batted into a double, Daugherty to Drummy. In the eighth inning the Nations had their best chance to score. Naito, the first man up, drew a walk, and Blatner followed with the same. Walla then singled to center and Falconer, getting the ball on the (*line blurred) Creighton, getting Naito several feet of the plate. Still, with two men on bases and one down it looked dangerous. Mendez, the heavy hitter, came next and after getting three balls and two strikes hammered a grass cutter to Daugherty, who got Walla at second and Graham relayed the ball to Drummy, retiring the side.
        Durkee Steals Home.
Durkee, the third baseman and captain of the Storz, pulled off a clever steal in the third inning. He landed safe with a single to right and after the ball had been returned to Donaldson, started for second before the big hurler began to wind up. Durkee was almost to the bag when Donaldson shot the ball to Blatner, but he was way late.
Welch opened the second inning with a triple to deep center. Falconer and Daugherty each drew a walk, filling the bases. Hachten then sent a double to center and Welch and Falconer ambled over to the plate. Castinier made a perfect peg to the plate to get Daugherty, but Reeves let the ball get away and Daugherty scored. Hachten in the meanwhile rounded third and came tearing down the line to home. Donaldson covered the home sack but dropped the ball and Hachten landed safe.
In the seventh with one in the discard, Creighton landed safe when Castinier dropped his high fly. Creighton stole second and scored on an error by Reeves.

STORZ WHITEWASH THE ALL-NATIONS, 5-0
Brewers Take Sweet Revenge on the Conglomeration of Races

In the All-Nations' return visit to Rourke park, the Storz Triumphs secured dire revenge for their former losses, by applying a coat of whitewash on their determined visitors. Score 5 to 0.
Another capacity crowd attended to witness the rival clubs struggle for supremacy. The interest lagged somewhat after the brewers had amassed a large lead, but increased towards the last part of the game, when the All-Nations attempted a couple of rallies.
A double bill was staged for the benefit of those present. Frank Quigley's A.O.U.W. crowd vied for honors with Jimmy Mullen's Alamitos in the preliminary battle. A pitching duel by the two southpaws, Holland and Adams, resulted in a 3 to 3 score at the end of the seventh when, time was called to allow the second game to proceed.
Two portsiders also performed the mound work in the second game. "Del" Alderman made his initial bow with the Storz and twirled admirably until the eighth. A fast double play in this round enabled "Del" to blank the visitors.
The colored whirlwind, Donaldson, suffered a bad inning, that of the second, the Storz bombarding his offerings in that inning. While he whiffed eighteen his wildness proved costly. Walter Hachten proved his undoing by smashing the pill for a double with the bases packed.
