Scout Watches
Grambling Win

GRAMBLING, La. - A first inning six-run spree enabled the Grambling Tigers to overcome a four-run deficit and squeeze out an 8-7 victory over Sam Houston College, Monday.
The contest played before a skimpy crowd which included John Donaldson, Chicago White Sox scout, opened and closed on a groggy note for the Tigers. Sam Houston jumped to a quick lead in the initial frame and managed to stay close enough on the heels of Lee Flentroy's hirelings to keep the fans nervous until the out.
The victory enabled Grambling to rack up it's 13th victory in 15 starts, Lanky Ezell King drove in four of the eight runs with a triple and a line drive single.
The second contest ended in an 8-8 stalemate Tuesday, after rain halted play in the seventh stanza.
