Lake Meadows Restaurant was scene of a luncheon honoring Edwin Short of White Sox and George Altman of Cubs Wednesday that was staged by Old Ball Players Club of Chicago and Evanston.
    In addition to the club members and guests of honor the luncheon attracted celebs from press, radio and television. The social committee arranging the affair included Robert Anderson, Joe Green, Al Smith, Minnie Minoso, Ernie Banks, Maurice Davis, John Donaldson, and Elwood "Bingo" DeMoss.
