Donaldson Again Pitches
the A.B.C.s to Victory

Indianapolis, Ind. May 31 - John Donaldson pitched the Taylorites to victory over the Anderson Eagles Sunday at Washington Park. Dawson, formerly of the Indians of the American Association, who leaves for California to join the aviation service, worked against Donaldson, but could do nothing with Taylor's men. The white boys were not equal to the occasion.
In the sixth inning Donaldson, first man up, bunted and Berry fielded the ball and made a wild peg to first, Donaldson going to second. Shively, next man up also bunted and Berry again made a wild throw to first, Donaldson scoring and Shively going to second. Lyons sacrificed Shively to third. With two and two on Charleston, Shively made a wild dash for home and would have had the base stolen, but Charleston took a hard swing on the ball, sending it down the right field foul line for a double. In the eighth frame Donaldson singled to center, Shively walked. Lyons sacrificed the pair and Donaldson came in on charleston's long fly to center, Shively going to third, from where he scored on B. Taylor's single.
The Anderson team got their first run in the second on a double and a triple and scored one more in the ninth on two singles and a sacrifice hit. Fast fielding by Malarcher and Warfield practically kept the visitors from getting more than one run in the last round. Score:
