DONALDSON TOYS
WITH SOUTH PARKS

All Nations Win Second
Game at League
Park, 5 to 1
KINNEN PITCHES WELL
Game Good Exhibition and Enjoyed by Thou-
sand Fans

John Donaldson toyed with the South Park batters yesterday afternoon at League park, allowing them a hit if he felt so disposed, and sending them mildly trotting back to the dugout if it happened to suite his fancy. The big colored boy was in no mood to establish a strikeout record yesterday, for he had a touch of the grippe. Therefore he allowed the local boys three hits. Donaldson gave the fans a pretty exhibition of baseball, and that was primarily what the fans were there for. The bleachers were nearly filled yesterday and the grandstand had some 300 fans, a total attendance close to the 1,000 mark.
Better Than Saturday

The South Parks put up a better exhibition of ball than on the preceding day, and Whitey Kinnen pitched an excellent game. He was serving a nice brand of curves and the All Nations had some trouble in solving his delivery until the seventh inning.
The work of Smith, catching for the South Parks, stood out far above that of his teammates, with the exception of Kinnen. Not a single man stole on Smith, whose pegging to second was almost wonderful.
In the first inning Steno singles and Ryan beat out a hit which should not have gone for such. Steno went to third on this play, and was safe at home when Stiger threw the ball over Keakley's head in an attempt to catch Steno at third. Steno fell before he reached home plate, but was safe because of the rule allowing a base on an overthrow into the stands. Torrientas singled, scoring Ryan.
South Parks Tally in Second

The other three for the All Nations came in the seventh on a single by Donaldson, Who was caught at second, an error by Stigers, which put Jesson on first, a single by Crow, sending Jesson to third, a single by Steno, scoring Jessen, a long fly by Ryan, which scored Crow, and an error by Yeakley, which alowed (sp) Steno to score.
The single tally for the South Parks came in the second. Brownie Meier doubled and scored on Tracy's single. this was the only time that the Parks even threatened to put one over the plate.
the All-Nations went from here to Topeka, where they play the fastest semi-pro team of that place a three-game series beginning today.
